Acrylic

An acrylic painting of a young female wolf in a middle eastern setting. There is a bit of symbolism in this piece, as wolves have been hated, persecuted and misunderstood for ages now and sadly in the human world, our modern day 'wolf' is the middle easterner. Both suffer the same blind hatred, yet both have so much beauty to share with the world, if only we let them.

This piece was inspired by a lot of things, including my boyfriend and all the photos/home videos he has shown me of his home country, and also those stunning photos of middle eastern women dressed up like this and such. My boyfriend has a photo book with nothing but photos of Iran, it's amazing how many different colors and patterns they have for their outfits. So pretty!

Now I'm wondering whether or not to try to make it a featured deviation. :hmm:

I can see this being loosely based on [link] but that just makes me love it more. Both have mesmerizing eyes that strike you and you can't look away.

Beautifully rendered, amazing!

I have to wonder how you get these kinds of textures. You work is very inspirational.

Stunning details!

I like your viewpoint on the symbolism that you used in this piece. You have a very valid point, and I really like how you used that point to create this work of art.

Wow, that's an interesting parallel to make.
